Army Corporal went Berserk, kill 5 Colleagues, Self

The Nigerian Army has said, a Corporal serving at the Theatre Command Operation LAFIYA DOLE, Army Super Camp 15, at Malam Fatori, went berserk early hours of Wednesday opened fire killing four of his colleagues before shooting himself.

In a statement signed by the Acting Director, Army Public Relation Col. Sagir Musa said two of his colleagues were also injured during the incident and are currently in stable condition at the Military hospital in Maiduguri.

Efforts according to him are ongoing to contact families of the gallant soldiers who paid the supreme price in their line of duties.

Col. Musa explained that investigation into the case has since been instituted to determine the circumstances surrounding the unfortunate incident.
