COAS Receives Media Merit Award

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen TY Buratai has been honoured with a prestigious award by the Society Watch Magazine as the Most Outstanding Chief of Army Staff by Society Watch Magazine.

The award ceremony which took place at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Abuja, was presented to him for recognition of his effective leadership in the containment of banditry, terrorism and insurgency in Nigeria.

In a statement issued by the Acting Director, Army Public Relation Col. Sagir Musa, said the Nigerian Army was also awarded with the award of the Best Government Institution of the Year.

Represented by the Director Civil Military Affairs, Brig Gen T.O Olowomeye, Musa said the award also witnessed personalities from different walks of life including the the Governor of Nasarawa State, who was represented by the Director Strategic Communications and Press Affairs, Alhaji Yakubu Lamai, representative of the Honourable Minister of State for Agriculture and representative of the Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, representative of Chief of Policy and Plans ‘Army’, Brig Gen PO Ilodibia among others.
