The false bridge

…… Now this is somebody’s hero and political mentor (Akpabio).

When I opined a few days ago that Hon. Thomas Ereyitomi was only trying to keep to time by saying “It’s ok, it’s ok. Off the mic”, some people disagreed and went ahead to make a joke out of the situation. They didn’t even bother to check if that was the only time Hon. Ereyitomi said “It’s ok, it’s ok. Off the mic”.

Even before Akpabio started talking, I remember vividly that Hon. Ereyitomi also told the MD “It’s ok, it’s ok. Off the mic” while grilling the MD.

The major problems with many Nigerians is gullibility, intellectual laziness and lack of seriousness in issues of National importance. That explains why so many Nigerians didn’t even bother to know that wireless microphones are prone to interference, noise, drop-outs, and many other RF problems hence the need to turn them off if you have stopped using them especially in a room where there are many microphones.

Hon. Thomas Ereyitomi only asked Akpabio to off his mic in order to avoid interference and noise. Why does a Radio presenter tell guest who call-in to turn off the volume of their radio sets? So many Nigerians have so much to learn outside the classroom because they won’t teach you some of these things in school.
