CAN President Calls on Christians For A Prayer Walk To Protest

The Christian Association of Nigeria has called on all Christians across the country to embark on a prayer walk to protest the gruesome killing of CAN President in Adamawa State by Boko Haram
Terrorists.

The CAN President, Dr. Samson Ayoknule disclosed the prayer walk plan while briefing journalists in Abuja, on Thursday 23rd January 2020.

He explained that the prayer work was aimed at rendering prayers for the country to overcome the insecurity facing the country.

He noted that it difficult to believe that the government under the present administration was not colluding with the insurgents to exterminate christian in the Nigeria.

Ayokunle, called on President Buhari to overhaul the security apparatus with the view to improving the safety of the citizens.

He further asked the government to label Miyetti Allah a terrorist group.

He said, “government should order the arrest of the Leadership of Miyetti Allah for sponsoring and perpetrating crimes in Nigeria and persecute them for all the killings in Taraba, Benue, Southern Kaduna among other States.

Again, government shall put on record, and publish names of kingpins of the terrorists in detention and also those persecuted.

Recalled Rev. Lawal Andimi who was CAN Chairman with Michika Local Government of Adamawa State was adopted on 2nd January 2020,and later beheaded by Boko Haram set.
