Nigerian Army Decorates 3 Newly Promoted Officers

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, on Friday decorated the 3 newly promoted Two Regimental Sergeant Majors (RSM) to Captains and Master Warrant Officers to Regimental Sergeant Major at the Army Headquarters, Abuja.

The decorated officers are Master Warrant officers, Agbo Nwabueze, Tijani Nambadi and Zakaria Ibrahim who were promoted to captains and Regimental Sargent Major respectively.

Congratulating the newly decorated officers, LT General Tukur Buratai, said the officer have served the military with optimum dedication and good performance, urging them to justify their promotion by deploying their expertise.

He said: “You are found worthy and the time has come for you to redouble your efforts, to justify the confidence reposed in you”

“As you all know, promotion is a privilege and is a reward for hard work, dedication and loyalty to constitutional authorities”.

“Indeed this elevation is a reward of recognition for your hard work, sacrifices you might have made individually or collectively in the armed forces of Nigeria.”

He Appealed to them to be conscious of the Coronavirus pandemic in the course of their celebration to avoid contacting the virus.

Responding on behalf the newly promoted officers Cpt. Agbo Nwabueze thanked President Buhari for appointing Lt. General Buratai as the Chief of Army Staff, whom he said has transformed the Nigerian Army to what it is today.

He Promised to discharged their duties to the best of their abilities to the development of the Nigerian Army.
