The State Chairman of IPAC, Hon Ahmed Tijani Mustapha, asserted this while speaking to the media in Kaduna on 7th March 2024.

He encouraged all citizens to stand by the Government and the people of Kuriga at the trying moment.

Hon Ahmed Tijani Mustapha added that information available to him revealed that bandits had surrounded the school premises at 8 am on 7th March 2024 and ordered the hostages to enter the bush.

“At GSS Kuriga, 187 students are presently missing. In the primary school, 125 pupils were initially missing, but 25 of them escaped and retired home,” He said

The IPAC Chairman Lauded the State  Governor, Senator Uba Sani who led senior government officials and security top brass to the scene of the kidnapping attack Thursday evening.

According to him the promises by Gov. Sani to do whatever needed to do to ensure the safe return of these children, even if it means coming to Kuriga to stay with them is most welcome.

He reiterated that the government has been doing its best but the best seems not enough compared to the increased cases of recent kidnapping hence the need for new approaches.

He commiserated with the people of Kuriga over the unfortunate incidents and prayed that Allah SWA will bring them back unhurt.
