CS-SUNN which is made up of CSOs and media partners working around nutrition to ensure improved nutritional outcomes for the good people of Kaduna State, observed that this progressive move reflects a clear commitment to addressing holistic health and nutrition challenges in the state.

The Group also opined that  recognizing the inseparable link between health and nutrition, the decision to integrate these vital aspects under a single committee is a testament to the state legislature’s dedication to ensuring that the people of Kaduna have access to comprehensive health care services and proper nutrition.

“This decision aligns with the government’s broader agenda to improve the overall health and quality of life for its citizens.

“The Committee on Health and Nutrition will now be better equipped to develop and implement policies, legislations, and initiatives that promote not only the prevention and treatment of diseases but also the importance of balanced nutrition, especially in vulnerable communities.

“It is widely acknowledged that a well-rounded approach to healthcare, encompassing both health and nutrition, is essential for a healthier and more prosperous society.

“This expansion also underscores the importance of cross-sectoral and multisectoral collaboration, as it is imperative for various government departments, organizations, and stakeholders to work together in addressing complex health and nutrition issues effectively.

“The Kaduna State House of Assembly’s decision to prioritize health and nutrition will undoubtedly result in tangible improvements in the well-being of its citizens.
