The Africa Network for Environment and Economic Justice, ANEEJ has congratulated Dr. Tayo Aduloju on his appointment as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, NESG, effective 1st January 2024.

ANEEJ Executive Director, Rev. David Ugolor made this known in a statement made available to press men in Kaduna on 20th July 2023.

The statement is a swift reaction to NESG’s release where it announced the appointment of Dr. Tayo Aduloju as the next Chief Executive Officer.

Dr. Tayo Aduloju is currently the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Senior Fellow for Economic Policy, Strategy, and Communications at NESG and will replace Mr. Laoye Jaiyeola, who will complete his two-term tenure by the end of 2023.

“We extend our warmest congratulations to Dr. Tayo Aduloju for a well-deserved appointment as the 6th CEO of NESG, and we are confident that he will offer exceptional leadership at the Group based on his qualification experience in the sector”. Ugolor noted.

“ANEEJ will work closely with him during his tenure as the CEO of NESG. We worked together previously on several issues, including while he was the incoming co-chair of the Open Government Partnership, Nigeria during the development and implementation of the first National Action Plan, and later when he became the substantive co-chair during the implementation of the second national action plan,” Ugolor concluded.

It will be recalled that the Nigerian Economic Summit Group was established in 1996 as a non-profit and non-partisan organization dedicated to advancing economic reform in Nigeria and has become a leading platform for public-private dialogue, fostering collaboration among the government, private sector, and stakeholders.
