Xenophobic Attacks: Nigerian Government Set To Take Definite Measures To Stop Killings.

The Minister of foreign affairs has assured Nigerians that the federal government would take a definite action on latest cases of xenophobic killings in South Africa

Godfrey Onyeama stated this in Abuja while meeting with he south African ambassador to Nigeria Bobby Moroe.

The meeting between the two envoy became necessary after President Buhari directed Onyema to summon the south African ambassador and convey President Buhari’s desire to put a stop to further attacks on Nigerian businesses and citizens.

Nigerian Government has expressed concern, over reported attacks on Nigerian citizens and property in South Africa. While responding, the Ambassador of South Africa to Nigeria Bobby Moroe, assured Nigerian that South African government has ordered the arrest of the criminals involved in the killing of Nigerians in his country.

Moroe also said, both countries have enjoyed extensive diplomatic ties for decades, and Nigeria played a major role in ending the apartheid regime in South Africa.
