Tinubu should tap from the strength of Nigerian youth — AYCF

The President of Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF), Alhaji Yerima Shettima, has called on President-Elect Ahmed Bola Tinubu to tap from the strength of the Northern youths in building a healthy and prosperous nation as he takes over the saddle of leadership of the country today.

 

He stated this while speaking to the media on 28th May 2023.

 

Alhaji Yerima further advised the President-Elect Tinubu to be magnanimous in his administration by carrying everybody along and fulfilling his campaign promises, irrespective of religion, tribe, and political affiliation.

 

According to him, Nigerian voters trusted him to lead them with the hope of a better Nigeria and appreciate his humility and maturity displayed before and after the Presidential Election.

 

“We urge him to keep to his promise to all sectors in the country; in terms of the spread of federal projects and to be prudent in assembling the team that will assist him in the task of seeing Nigeria through and out of its current limitations around security and the economy; and of leading our nation into a future in which we will live secure lives and pursue livelihoods in a united, strong, prosperous Nigeria whose resources will be protected by leaders,” he said.

 

“As a youth organisation in Northern Nigeria, we are calling on the President, Bola Tinubu, to consider appointing more youths into his Government starting from May 29th, 2023.

 

“This should be so because the youths cannot continue to take the back seat after delivering before, during, and after elections.

 

“It is no longer news that the youths of the country occupy a major part of the country’s population, hence giving them a sense of belonging to the Government will make sense. We are really hoping for the best in this Government,” he concluded.
