Though I’m now in AA, my support for Buhari intact, Uche Nwosu says

The governorship candidate of the Action Alliance in Imo State, Uche Nwosu, on Tuesday said that no amount of blackmail will stop him, his supporters and his party from supporting the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Nwosu said that though he left All Progressives Congress to AA to actualise his governorship ambition, his “support for Buhari remains intact.”

“My support for the President is beyond personal considerations or party and religious inclinations,” Nwosu explained.

He said that those “peddling the rumor” that he is no longer supporting the President since he joined a new party were jittery of the popularity his candidacy had garnered.

He said, “Whether they blackmail us or not, the truth is that we have made up our minds to support President Muhammadu Buhari.

“If I will not be supporting President Buhari, I won’t be putting his pictures on my billboards and campaign posters.

“We have, together with the governor of the state, Rochas Okorocha, made up our minds to support President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 and nothing can change that.”

“Despite being the governorship candidate of the Action Alliance, I will deliver my Ward to President Buhari, even when those running to Abuja to blackmail me cannot convince a single person to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari.”

He warned that the people of the state will resist any attempt to rig the 2019 election in the state.

Nwosu said that his campaign organisation had confidence in the ability of the Independent National Electoral Commission to conduct free and fair elections in the state.
