The lawmaker representing Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani on Tuesday kicked off his campaign for reelection into the Senate in the 2019 elections.

Sani is contesting on the platform of the People’s Redemption Party after he was denied the ticket under the All Progressives Congress.

Sani who addressed journalists at the secretariat of the Kaduna Council of NUJ, said the ruling party had failed and should be voted out in the 2019 general elections.

The lawmaker reminded the APC senatorial candidate, Mallam Uba Sani, that the zone was not for sale and urged the electorate to reject him.

Sani called on the voters to choose wisely between freedom and bondage in the forthcoming election, arguing that it was left for them to elect the APC that had over the years enslaved them.

He added that he opted to contest the next poll on the platform of the PRP because the party represented his socialist ideology.

The lawmaker said, “Nigeria is transiting to a new phase and it is time for Nigerians to make a choice between freedom and bondage.

“Kaduna Central Senatorial District is not for sale.  You need those that can stand for you and not those who are loyalists to governors.”.
