Not fewer than 50 members of RevolutionNow have been arrested in Abuja by military personnel on patrol within different parts of Abuja.

Earlier this morning, intelligence report made available to us as noticed in different groups’ twitter handles and Facebook pages revealed that about 5 major groups pulled out of the said protest few hours to the commencement of the demonstration in major cities of Nigeria.

In Abuja, protesters who were coming from the different axis of Lokoja, Kubwa, Mararaba, Keffi to the assembly ground; Unity Fountain Abuja were arrested and whisked away in trucks to an unknown destination by military personnels.

This is coming few days after one Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere in a widely publicized media address affirmed that his coalition of opposition groups are mobilizing with other sister groups to protest against the President of the federal republic of Nigeria; Muhamnadu Buhari.

Just hours before the commencement of the protest slated for 9am today, the national association of Polytechnic students (NAPS) national president; Comr. Ola Benedict made a media broadcast dissociating self and association from the planned protest. Few hours later, other youth and student groups followed suit in distancing selves from the protest. An action that came to the organisers of the Revolution Now protest as a shock.
