A developmental coach and family counselor, Aishat Adaviruku, has on saturday, 9th April, 2022 called on Nigerian women especially during this Ramadhan period to take practical steps towards building peace in their heart and homes.
Mrs. Aisha made the call while delivering Ramadhan weekly lectures on “making our homes a heaven of peace”, organised by Al – Habibiyyah islamic society in Abuja.
She said: “building peace in our hearts and homes required regulating our emotions. This can be done through enhancing our mental capital. We should be mindful of what we deposit in our brain, because it is how you respond rather than reactions that determine the kind of action to take”.
“Look at what Jega did at the 2015 election collection center. He was calmed, and not provoke when he was confronted by Elubebe. This really saved our democracy”.
In her response, the chairperson of the occasion and former INEC national commissioner, Hajia Amina Zakari, advise men to consider women from the islamic perspective and encourage women not to allow abuses from men to deterred them from being strong for self determination.
” We need more of islamic perspective so that both men and women can co – exist as God wanted us to be”.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Imam of Al – Habibiyyah islamic society, Faud Adeyemi, encourage Nigerian to consider abuse and insult in good faith as precondition towards achieving God works on earth. He identify poverty, ignorant and lack of cohesion as the problems facing Nigeria today.
“If you have not been abuse or insulted, it means you have not started the work of God”. He added.
