PRESIDENTIAL AMNESTY COMMENDS NIGERIAN ARMY, CALLED FOR COLLABORATION TO ENSURE SECURITY OF CRITICAL NATIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE IN DELTA REGION

The Coordinator Presidential Amnesty Programme Professor Charles Dokubu commends Nigerian Army for maintaining security and securing critical national infrastructure in the Niger Delta.

Prof Charles stated this when he visited the Nigerian Army Chief Lt Gen TY Buratai on a courtesy call at the Army Headquarters, Abuja.

He used the opportunity to appreciate the leadership and all personnel of the Army and other security agencies for providing an enabling environment for peace, security, stability and development of the Delta region.

He also solicits for more cooperation, partnership and collaboration with the Army to ensure a lasting peace in the area.

The Chief of Army Staff was represented at the occasion by the Chief of Policy and Plans Army Lt Gen LO Adeosun. Gen Adeosun, on behalf of the Chief of Army Staff, appreciated the Coordinator for the visit and assured him that Nigerian Army prides itself in doing everything possible to secure all parts of Nigeria and it will continue to collaborate and support to ensure the success of the programme.

Chief of training and Operations Army Maj Gen EO Udoh, Chief of Military Intelligence Maj Gen SA Adebayo and the Acting Director Public Relations Colonel Sagir Musa among others graced the occasion.
