Image result for KADUNA CRISISThe Kaduna State Police Command has advocated religious and ethnic tolerance among people in the state for peace to reign. Commissioner of Police, Ahmad Abdurrahman, made the declaration while playing host to traditional and religious leaders from Sanga local government area.

Armed men invaded the area over the weekend, killing at least eight persons and destroying property.

Tesem Akende reports that the Police Commissioner said inviting opinion leaders to a round table became necessary after a thorough look at the situation.

After hours of deliberation behind closed doors, they were out wearing better looks. They described the initiative of the Police as laudable.

The commendation gave the Police Commissioner a sense of fulfillment. But Ahmad Abdurrahman said his joy would only be complete if they remain at peace with one another.

The people left with assurances to engage their communities on the need for peace. It’s what the Police top brass hope they will live up to.
