Ondo Civil Defence warns illegal bunkerers to vacate state

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ondo state command has warned Illegal oil bunkerers to steer clear of oil facilities in the State or be ready to face the full wrath of the law.

The new State commandant of the NSCDC, Christinah Abiakam gave the warning at a meeting with officials of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, OSOPADEC.

Ondo State, one of the nine Niger Delta states in Nigeria, is one of the most peaceful in the country.

But the prevailing peace in the coastal area of the state, is often breached by operations of illegal oil bunkerers.

One of the responsibilities of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, is to tackle nefarious activities of bunkerers.

The new Commandant of NSCDC in the State, Christina Abiakam says she is ready to curb this rising trend, through partnership with relevant stakeholders.
