Nigerians greet news of ex-CDS Badeh’s death with concerns for national security

The death of former Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh, has opened a floodgates of reactions from Nigerians.

Many respondents wondered about the safety of their own lives if that of a high military officer could be easily snuffed out.

Senate President Bukola Saraki, Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara, Senator Sani Shehu, and entertainer Charly Boy have been sending condolences to the family of the deceased as well as calling for the swift apprehension of the killers.

Other Nigerians on social media have mostly been expressing their fear about the level of insecurity in the country.

Badeh died from gunshot wounds after his car was attacked along the Abuja-Keffi road on his way back from his farm on Tuesday.
