KATSINA STATE GOVERNMENT RECEIVES YAN NATIONAL SPEAKER

 

…NSP Speaker Presented to Governor

The National Speaker of the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN) and Board of Trustees Chairman of the Nigerian Students Parliament (NSP); his youthfulness, Rt.Hon. Godstime Chukwubuikem Samuel was received this evening at the government house, Katsina by his Excellency, Rt.Hon. Aminu Bello Masari; the Executive Governor of Katsina state.

The YAN national speaker who arrived Katsina on a 2day familiarization visit discussed national youth and tourism matters and how the youths can be ambassadors of good governance and tourism.

Rt.Hon. Godstime also used the opportunity to officially present the newly inaugurated national Speaker of the Nigerian Students Parliament (NSP); Rt.Hon. Mubarak Aliyu Rimi to the Governor.

Mubarak is an indigene of Rimi local government Area of Katsina state and a student in the department Building technology, Federal college of Education (technical), Bichi, Kano state.

Governor Aminu Bello Masari thanked Hon. Godstime for travelling all the way from Owerri, the Imo state capital to Katsina on a familiarization/ partnership visit.

“I am so glad you visited and your expectations from me and the government of katsina state in this new partnership pact will come undeterred”, Gov. Masari exclaimed.

Gov. Masari who expressed excitement having the students national speaker come from his state, promised to sponsor the first seating of the students parliament in Katsina state.

“As a former speaker of the house of Representatives, i am happy to receive my junior colleagues and brothers in the legislative business in my office. I will extent my hand of fellowship to you any time and day”, Gov. Masari continued.

Those who joined the governor to receive the young parliamentarians were the Deputy Governor of Katsina state; His Excellency, Alhaji Mannir Yakubu, the chief of staff to the governor and the attorney general and commissioner for Justice, Katsina state, amongst others.
