Group to address challenges in aviation

A group, Mr And Ms Aviation Nigeria, has revealed plans to help in addressing some of the challenges in the aviation industry.

MAMAN stated that the challenges would be discussed at its maiden ‘Avi-Day’ with a focus on the pertinent topics relevant to the growth of the industry.

According to the group, ‘Avi-DAY’ is endorsed by the Ministry of Transportation through the Office of the Minister of State for Aviation; supported by the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by the Accident Investigation Bureau, Zenith Carex International Limited and Lush Purple Jets Services.

The group said in a statement that the conference and exhibition, with the theme, ‘Nigerian aviation business exhibition’ would create a functional community and aid small businesses in the industry.

The statement read in part, “The one-day event scheduled to hold on November 9, in Lagos, will create an avenue for industry players to showcase or demonstrate their products and service offerings to a target audience with a view to further projecting their brand, increasing sales and further bringing the aviation industry closer to non-aviators. “Through this forum, those interested in aviation will have access to first-hand information on available opportunities and how to get into the industry. The Avi-Day will witness the presence of industry experts, market leaders, CEOs of airline companies, logistics companies, insurance companies, airline business consultants and policymakers, amongst others.”

It added that the conference would feature a gala night with pageant show, known as ‘Miss Aviation Nigeria’, where contestants would go through leadership and entrepreneurship training for capacity building.
