The national leadership of the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN) led by the national speaker; Rt.Hon. Godstime Chukwubuikem Samuel on a courtesy call to the federal ministry of science and technology, Abuja, were received by the honourable minister of state for science and technology; Hon. Barr. Mohammed Hassan Abdullahi.
Hon. Godstime in his address, informed the honourable minister of countless Nigerian youths most of whom are graduates but have great talents and technological skills waiting to be harnessed if given a platform for exhibition.
He also noted that directorate of skills and talent development be created by the ministry and exhibition centres made available in all the states of the federation.
The Honourable Minister welcomed the national leadership of YAN to his office, noting that he has remained an admirer of YAN following her engagements fashioned towards youth development and national unity.
Hon. Mohammed called on YAN to present to the ministry, list of youths with science and technology related talents and skills for immediate engagement by the ministry.
Hon. Mohammed assured YAN of his ministry’s continuous support.
The national deputy speaker of YAN; Rt.Hon. Shuaibu Sani while giving a vote of thanks, affirmed the minister’s unalloyed support to the youthdom.
He described Hon. Mohammed Abdullahi as Mr.Youth Empowerment, urging him to continue in that tempo of doing good.
Other YAN leaders in the visit are the Nassarawa state chapter YAN speaker; Rt.Hon. Jaafar Loko, the deputy speaker of YAN Nasarawa state amongst others.
