Group floods Osun with Osinbajo’s 2023 presidential posters

CAMPAIGN posters seeking support for the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, ahead of the 2023 general elections were on Monday displayed at strategic locations in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

Although the posters did not specify the position Osinbajo was vying for it was however titled, ‘Osinbajo for all 2023.’

The posters which had the portrait of Osinbajo in black suit, were sponsored by a group called ‘Osinbajo for All volunteer group.’

Residents of Osun state capital, who observed the posters in areas such as Oke Onitea; Lameco Junction; Dele Yes Sir junction; Abere Bus stop, Ilesa Garage Junction, Oke Bale Junction and Ataoja Palace entrance, amongst others, noted that the posters must have been pasted in the early hours of Monday.

They said there was no such campaign materials in the areas on Sunday.

When contacted, Peter Ogundeji, who identified himself as the National Coordinator of Osinbajo for All Volunteer Group, said his group was behind the campaign posters, but added that the Vice President had not directed them to campaign for him. PUNCH
