Director Of Defence Information Visits Lagos Television Office

As part of his familiarization visit to media houses in Abuja, the Ag Director Defence Information colonel Onyema Nwachukwu visited the Lagos Television, Abuja Bureau.
Colonel Nwanchukwu noted, that visit is to strengthen the relationships between the media and the defence headquarters.
The Ag Director Defence Information in his address appreciated the media and acknowledged their importance.
He further states that publicity is the fuel of terrorism. The media should therefore be patriotic and place the interest and peace of the Nation.
While highlighting successes recorded by the military, Colonel Onyema said, the armed forces of Nigeria has won the war against insurgency and criminality.
“Some bandits in Zamfara have agreed to surrender their weapons and as well several arrests have been made” he said.
“Incessant attacks in the southern part of the country, which include, cultism, kidnapping, and armed banditry have been curtail”.
He further expressed the warm greetings of the Chief of Defence Staff General Abayomi Olonisakin, and the service chiefs, as well called for synergy with the media .
