Nasarawa State Governor and Chairman Media and Publicity Sub-Committee of the All Progressives Congress convention Abdullahi Sule, has disclosed that Consensus arrangement remains the first and beat option to elect the new leaders of the party.

Recall President Buhari was said to have anointed the senator Abdullahi Adamu as the next chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress APC.

The governor also confirmed that some geopolitical zones have already agreed on the list which will be put together today.

Sule who spoke journalists during a pre-convention conference on Friday in Abuja, also confirmed that the Consensus arrangement remains the first and beat option to elect the new leaders of the party.

He however explained that, a former president and senators who holds political appointments are already automatic Delegates.

“let’s not confuse the two because being an appointee doesn’t necessarily take you out of being a delegate, because our delegates are classified, clearly. Former president on our party, former elected this, elected that, party officials and the rest of that. I don’t think anybody who hold any political party office is actually right now a political appointee of the President, or the governors and the rest of that.

“Most of the list that we submitted, that is if you are talking of the ones we have submitted now, we don’t have commissioners, we don’t have advisors, we don’t have all those unless if somebody particularly was a former this or former that, in that case, you know, just being an appointee doesn’t completely exclude such a person, you know, from being a delegate”. He explained.
