Collaborate to tackle insecurity, Jonathan tells world leaders

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has said that world leaders need to work together in order to surmount the huge security and economic challenges faced by various nations.

According to a statement on Friday, Jonathan spoke in Seoul, the capital of South Korea  at the International Leadership Peace Conference.

The conference was attended by many world leaders, former presidents, lawmakers, entrepreneurs and government officials.

Jonathan, who emerged the Chair of the International Summit Council for Peace, a recently-inaugurated forum of African former Heads of State, said peace was a product of a conscious and diligent efforts.

He charged those in positions of authority to strive to bequeath a more peaceful world to future generations.

He said, “The peace and tranquillity we observe in some countries today came through the diligent efforts of the citizens. Our generation must strive to make the world a peaceful place.”
