COAS Inaugurate’s Nigeria Army Polo Association Board of Trustees

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Yusuf Buratai has inaugurated a new Board of Trustees for the Nigerian Army Polo Association with the former Military Governor of Kaduna state, Col Dangiwa Umar (rtd) appointed as the Chairman of the board.

While inaugurating the borad, the  Army chief said, the board was carefully selected based on their love for polo game, there interest and the outstanding association they have with the Nigerian Army.

” we have seen there capacity and their capability to carry the Nigerian Army polo club to the higher heights that is why we have them selected.

” As we are working towards a global association in the polo game, we are recruiting special course handlers, players and experts that will promote and take the Nigeria Army Polo game to a different level.

Buratai also added that the game reestablished today by forming this board of committee will enable the NA to tab the full benefits of the polo game worldwide as well as encourage and develop it in the country as they are working towards a global participation in the game.

In his remarks, Maj. Gen. Muhammad Garba( Rtd),  speaking unbehalf of the inaugurated board appreciates the effort of the COAS in its wisdom in the careful selection of the board members and assured him of close and better working relationship.

Gen. Garba who assure the COAS of good working relationship said, the members selected are kin and interested members of the polo game as such the NA should look forward to a better outcome as it has selected it finest in the job as they look forward to polo game invites from accross the world on polo tournaments.
