BREAKING: Nigerian striker Arokodare joins French side FC Amiens
Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare has joined French Ligue 2 club, FC Amiens, on a season loan deal from Latvian side Valmieras SC, The PUNCH reports.
He was handed the No.9 jersey at the club.
The PUNCH learnt that Amiens have the option of making his stay permanent should the 20-year-old forward impress in France.
The 6ft4in tall Arokodare came to the limelight in the Latvian topflight last season after scoring 16 times in 15 games for Valmieras.
He spent part of last season on loan at Bundesliga club, FC Koln, after enduring a difficult time at the club where he failed to score a goal in 12 league games.
His form made the German side drop their option to convert his temporary spell to a permanent one.
