APC youth leader Praises party over 50% slash fee on nomination forms

The National Youth Leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC)  Mr Dayo Israel has applauded move by   the leadership of his party for discounting fees for youth aspirants  under the party constitution from 40 years and below aspiring for any posit in the 2023 general elections.

The APC Youth  Leader during a press briefing described the APC youth as the heart beat of the party also added that they serve as agents on election day and would deserve the results.

Israel informed that the youths are relieved as they take on the Electoral process to compete with the others in the 2023 Elections, believing strongly that this is going to be a great motivator and booster.

He promised the party that the youth would lobby the public, states governors, Chairman and stakeholders to help to create enebling environment field for Nigerian young on the presidential campaign and for Osun, Ekiti elections to get fair level playing for young people.

Mr lsreal commended the APC National Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu for his support to ensure that they are able to achieve the 50% discount of nomination fee great feat.

The APC National Youth Leader also thanked he Speaker, Federal House of Representatives Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila who raised a motion on behalf of the youth, the Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan who supported the motion and others who have made history.

“For the first time in the history of APC, we have been able to offer the young people of our great party a 50% discount on nomination fees, under the party constitution, the Youths 40 yrs and below.

“The youths are more releif as they take on the process to compete with the others in the 2023 Elections. We believe very strongly that this is going to be a great motivator and booster.

“We know that this is not the only thing we are going to do. We are going to go ahead and lobby the govs, State chairman and stakeholders to help to create enebling environment field for our young people, lobby the young people on the presidential campaign council and for Osun Ekiti election to get fair level playing for young people.

“The youths of the APC are the heart beat of the party. We serve as agents on election day and we deserve that results. Commended Buhari for signing the not-too-young to run bill.

“We’re here because we want to say a big thank you to the national chairman of the all progressive Congress, the super energetic Chairman, the visionary chairman, distinguished senator, Alhaji abdullahi Adamu who with the support of the National Working Committee of the party all our deputy national chairman, vice chairman and all the various colleagues on the national working committee for working with us to ensure that we’re able to achieve this great fit for my thanks also extend to the Speaker of the Federal House of Representative, the right honourable, Femi GbajaBiamila, who stood up to raise a motion for an increment on our behalf and also the Senate President Dr. Ahmed lawan, who supported that motion Governor Babatunde Fashola so I will do my governor who also supported the motion frantically on the floor of the of the NEC yesterday.

“Governor Yaya Bello also stood up to support that motion Governor uzodinma Governor fire me Governor El Rufai Governor mata wali Governor akeredolu,bthe governor, the chairman of Nigerian governors forum, progressive Nasaan, Governor and Governor of a osun state and all the leadership of our party will have made history for us yesterday for the first time in the history of the our progressive Congress.

“We have been able to offer the young people of our great party, the energetic resourceful youth of our great party 50% discount on our nomination fees. We know that our youth want more, but we are grateful for the fact that we are not where we used to be the fact that for the first time, we have even been able to secure some level 50% discount for young people 40 years and below 40 years because our party constitution says young people under the youth under the political shot is 40 and below and we’re grateful that the party has considered this in the history of our party for the first time in eight years.

“Our youth can now have more relief as they take up and the process to compete with others in the field of the 2023 election by the grace of the Almighty God. And we believe very strongly that this is going to be a great motivator and booster we know that this is not going to be the only thing we’re going to do. We’re going to go ahead and lobby the governors. We’re going to lobby the state chairman. We’re going to lobby all the other stakeholders in the party to help to create an enabling field for our young people.

“We’re going to lobby for young people on the presidential campaign Council. We’re going to lobby for young people on the campaign councils for assure Osun and Ekiti election. We are going to lobby for young people to be able to get you know where the concerns are gonna be possible to get consensus opportunities where primaries are possible to get a fair playing field for young people because the use of the APC or the artbeat of the APC. We are the one that goes out there to go and mobilise. We are the one as agents on election day. We are the one that went around to make sure things are working for the party.

“We are also the word that ensure that we’re doing door to door knocking to ensure that you know we are bringing in the foot soldiers and we deserve that reward. And we’re grateful that this has been done. I know that it’s not where we really would have loved to but this is a great lead, and we’re grateful for our national chairman.

“We’re grateful to the NWC. We’re grateful to the Senate President, the speaker, the governors and importantly, our own commander in chief of the armed forces. of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari, we are very grateful because the President went ahead to sign that not too young to run bill that makes it possible for a 25 years old young Nigeria to be able to compete in that election in this coming election. And the good part is they are not just going to be able to compete they’re also going to be able to get discount on their nominations for what Thank you and God bless you” he ended.
