All sensitive electoral materials now in CBN custody, says Ogun REC

The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Ogun State, Prof. AbdulGaniy Raji, has said all sensitive electoral materials in the state have been returned to the Central Bank of Nigeria.

He noted that the Commission was awaiting further instruction, adding that the state was set for the election.

“We have taken everything to the CBN office at Abeokuta. We are awaiting the D-Day of the election,” he said.

Our Correspondent, who visited the INEC headquarters at Magbon, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, on Monday, observed that activities were at the lowest ebb.

Except for security men guarding the office and some workers resuming for duty, not much was going on.

IBB Boulevard, the road where the INEC office is located, had security blockade at different ends to reduce vehicular access.
