All programmes of FCE Pankshin are accredited, says Provost

Provost, Federal College of Education, Pankshin, Dr, Amos Cirfat, says all National Certificate of Education programmes of the college have received accreditation from the National Commission of Colleges of Education.

Cirfat made this known when the National Executive of Ngas Development Association paid him a courtesy visit in Pankshin, near Jos on Thursday.

“We just got the letter of approval of full accreditation of all our NCE programmes from the NCCE, the highest supervisory body of all Nigerian colleges.

“It’s indeed our joy and gladness that this accreditation comes just at the beginning of a new year, which goes to show that there are good tidings awaiting us in 2019, ’’ he said.

The provost disclosed that the accreditation team, led by Dr. Abdulrazak Badmus, carried out the exercise between September 3 and 6 last year.

He commended the people of Ngas, host community of the college, for ensuring peaceful atmosphere in the institution.

Cirfat said that without the people’s cooperation, the college would not have accomplished much, adding that it had become a household name because of its impact in the society.

The provost assured all the tribes within the catchment area of the college of fair spread of employment opportunities among them.

He noted that he was the first product of the college to occupy the position, and appealed to the association to ensure the emergence of a paramount ruler in community for the good of people.

Earlier, Mr. Gonen Gofwen, the National President of NDA, had congratulated the provost over his appointment.

Gofwen said the association was so proud of the provost’s achievements so far, expressing its readiness to synergise with the management of the institution in furthering its development.

“We are also happy that you have appointed one of our own to be a member of your cabinet in the person of the Deputy Provost.

“We wish to create a synergy with you and work as a team for the desired transformation of the college,” he said.

On employment, the NDA president appealed for a special consideration to be given to the host community for the purpose of ensuring harmony and stimulating growth and development.
